About Me

What makes me the expert? What are my qualifications?

This page was added late. About 50 people have written to ask me about my credentials and what makes me an expert.

What makes me an expert? What makes anyone an expert?  EXPERIENCE!

My facts are about real experiences by real people. Not about the law or about morality. I have read the moral arguments over and over again. I am not interested in discussing why Bill should be entitled to the same pay as Bob when Bill has an LE degree and Bob struggled through 4 years of grueling study.

I graduated 24 years ago from a traditional university (BA degree).  I couldn't land a decent job. I worked as a stock clerk in a supermarket -- I was the only stockman at the market with a college degree. I started to get involved with the company's computer system and eventually transferred to the IT department. I soon hit a glass ceiling because the supermarket only promoted to the next level, those with a degree in an IT related field.  After many hours of research, I obtained my Life Experience Degree from a now defunct university. The supermarket accepted it and I was immediately given a 10 percent salary differential and the doors had opened for me.

Being impatient, I added my NEW degree to my resume, and that degree coupled with my experience in the IT field landed me a great job at a bank. I worked there for 9 years until they decided to relocate their IT department to another state. I chose not to uproot my family so I stayed in Texas.

Since then, I have worked in other fields as well. I purchased two more life experience degrees from other universities and spent countless hours researching them and learning how to work them.  I have several telephone numbers (thanks to Vonage) and have created multiple iterations of my resume with and without my LE degrees listed.

All in all I have spent about $1,800.00 on my three LE degrees. They have opened more doors for me than my traditional college degree. Many more.

Around 2004, I was able to acquire a list of people that received their LE degrees from one of these LE schools (do not ask me how I got the list). I sent a friendly email to about 500 people telling them I got their name as a reference from the college and I asked them about their experiences and what tactics they used in presenting their qualifications.  I got about 80 replies back. Many just said they listed the school on their resume and no questions were asked. But some did have problems and some relied on various tactics to get them through the interview process.  One particular fellow from Texas that I corresponded with had become a friend of mine and we are still close friends.

His issue was particularly interesting to me. He was as a municipal maintenance worker in Texas. His LE degree gained him a 7½ percent salary increase. He was doing the same job for six years after he got his degree, but was suddenly asked to pay back all the "extra" money he made in those 6 years because the employer (government) found out (through a disgruntled co-worker) that he had an LE degree. He hired a lawyer who spent countless hours researching the legalities of the LE degrees in Texas and throughout the USA.  Much of my current legal knowledge comes from my friend who has shared everything about his case with me.  He did get to keep his job and his money. In the end, it was all about his job performance -- which was exemplary.

In addition to these experiences listed above, I have literally spent THOUSANDS of hours reading John Bear's swill , government websites, Wikipedia,  posting to blogs, and have logged more than 1,500 posts on various college degree forums.  I have often taken on whatever viewpoint was oppositional to the consensus just to get people to post their points of view and experiences. All in all, I believe I have discussed LE degrees with over 500 different people , of whom more than 200 were LE degree holders.

Unlike any other website, I am NOT preaching about what's right and what's wrong. I am NOT legal advice. I am about REALITY.  This website is dedicated to the truth about what is being experienced by people like me, my friend, and tens of thousands of others who hold or are considering getting a Life Experience Degree.
